FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re asking this question, you more than likely need help. Unresolved trauma, hurt and pain if not dealt with causes us severe problems over the years. If you have ever thought, “I’d be better if I got help from someone,” then we would encourage you to contact us right away. Don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do today.

PTSD stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Now longer regarded at a disorder, PTSD is now being refereed to as PTSI where “I” stands for INJURY. First responders are 5 times as likely as the general population to be injured by what they see. After a traumatic event, it’s common for first responders to struggle with fear, anxiety and sadness. Some may have flashbacks and nightmares finding it hard to sleep. Most people get better with time. But if you have PTSD / PTSI, these thoughts and feelings don’t just fade away. Unresolved trauma can last for months and years, and may even get worse.

YES YOU DO! Unresolved trauma does not always lead to PTSD / PTSI. Unresolved traumatic issues in life no matter how big or small can hurt us in ways we never see coming. Before things get out of control, we suggest you go to work and heal them up. Helping you do this is what we do best.

Cumulative trauma are the events we see and experience in life no matter how big or small they may seem at the time. We say cumulative because small events if not dealt with over time can grow into hurting issues that cause us severe pain. As first responders we all have small seemingly insignificant calls that if not properly dealt with can cause us pain and hurt in the long run.
